The Buildathon gives you time to move from understanding a tool to using it, with a mix of skills around the table and a shared project to work on.

Work with a small team to turn an idea into something useful for the short-term rental space, combining different skills and perspectives as you go.

Present your project to the room and see what the other teams have made, giving you more ideas to explore and new people to stay in touch with.

Hosts, operators, property managers and industry professionals are welcome, whether you manage one property or thousands and are just getting started with AI or already using it.
The afternoon
How the afternoon will unfold
We’ll get everyone connected and set up before lunch, then form teams for a two-hour build session. The afternoon ends with team presentations and the announcement of the winner.
What to bring

Bring your laptop and any AI tools you already like using, with teams combining different levels of experience so you can take part without a technical background.

Meet the other attendees, get connected and set up your laptop and tools for the afternoon.

Lunch
Enjoy lunch and get to know the other attendees before the team build begins.
- 2–4pmTwo hours to build
Form your team and build your project
James will organise everyone into teams at 2pm. You’ll then have two hours to build something to present to the room.
- 4–5pm
Presentations and winner
Each team presents what they’ve created, then the winner is announced before we finish at 5pm.

Who is presenting the Buildathon?
The AI Buildathon is jointly presented by Host Planet and Boostly, bringing together the short-term rental community for an afternoon of practical AI learning and team projects.
Do I need to know how to code?
You don’t need coding experience to take part, as each team will bring together people with different skills and levels of confidence using AI.
How do I book a place?

What should I bring?
Bring a laptop and any AI tools you already like using, along with your curiosity and ideas for the short-term rental space.
What’s included in the afternoon?
The afternoon includes a setup session, lunch, a two-hour team build, presentations and the announcement of the winner, with time to meet the other attendees.

Doors open at 11:30am on Friday 27 November 2026 at NatWest Accelerator, 2 Whitehall Quay, Leeds, LS1 4HR, with the programme running from midday to 5pm.
